Library Computers

There are over 100 public-accessible computers throughout the library as well as wireless access and ports to plug a laptop into the network. They are located in the following locations:

Reference Computers and OPAC Kiosks There are 11 sit-down workstations in the Reference area on the second floor and 10 stand-up kiosks throughout the library. These computers are primarily intended for access to our online catalog and other online resources as well as the Internet.  There are no word processing or other applications available on these machines.
Weber Hall These 20 PC's have the full Microsoft Office suite in addition to Internet access.
L100 Walker-Statler Computer Lab There are 24 PCs in this lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access on the first floor of the library. There is an instructor workstation, projector, and SmartBoard in this lab.  This is an open lab whenever there are no classes scheduled.   Consult the schedule at the Circulation Desk.
L306 Computer Lab/Classroom This classroom functions as an open lab as long as there are no classes scheduled in it.  A schedule of classes or other functions being held in this room is available at the Circulation desk.  There are 24 PC's in the lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access as well as SPSS statistical analysis software.  In addition, there is an instructor workstation with projector and SmartBoard in this lab.
L325 - Language Lab This classroom functions as an open lab as long as there are no classes scheduled in it.  A schedule of classes or other functions being held in this room is available at the Circulation desk.  There are 18 PC's in the lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access.  Other uses of the lab must be approved by the World Languages Department.
Wireless access There are wireless access points throughout the library providing coverage for the entire building. Use of the wireless service requires a laptop computer equipped with a wireless ethernet card. For information on purchasing or configuring a wireless ethernet card, please contact the Helpdesk at ext. 3200.
Laptop ports There are currently 2 ports to plug in a laptop in the Walker Reading Room and an additional one in a group study room on the first floor.  You must have an Ethernet card installed on your laptop to connect to the College network.
