This food and drink policy has been devised to protect the library’s collections, equipment, and facilities.

1. Food is permitted only in Café Diem. Food is defined as any edible food EXCEPT gum, cough drops or throat lozenges.

2. If you must carry food with you (that you intend to consume somewhere other than the library) it must remain in your backpack or other closed bag.

3. Beverages are permitted in lidded containers. Aluminum soda cans are not acceptable.

4. No food OR drink are allowed in the library computer labs. This includes L-100, L-306 and L-325. Food AND drink must be kept away from the computers in Weber Hall and the Reference area as well.

5. No food OR drink are allowed in the Sister Mary Lawrence Franklin Archival Center or when viewing materials from the archives or Special Collections anywhere in the library. This includes master’s theses.

6. Library patrons must clean up after themselves and use appropriate waste baskets and/or recycling bins.
